Капсулы светло-желтого цвета, мягкие, продолговатые, блестящие, размер 6; содержимое капсул — густая суспензия белого цвета.
Вспомогательные вещества: лецитин соевый, триглицериды средней плотности.
Состав оболочки капсулы: желатин, глицерол, титана диоксид, вода очищенная.

Фармакологическое действие
Комбинированный препарат. Оказывает спазмолитическое действие, уменьшает газообразование в кишечнике.
алверин — миотропный спазмолитик, действие которого не сопровождается атропиноподобным эффектом или ганглиоблокирующей активностью. Снижает повышенный тонус гладкой мускулатуры кишечника.
Симетикон — гидрофобное полимерное вещество с низким поверхностным натяжением, снижающее газообразование в кишечнике и покрывающее защитной пленкой стенки ЖКТ.

Показания препарата
Метеоспазмил
- функциональные расстройства ЖКТ, проявляющиеся болями в животе, повышенным газообразованием, отрыжкой, тошнотой, запорами, диареей или их чередованием;
- подготовка к рентгенологическому, ультразвуковому или инструментальному исследованию органов брюшной полости.
Режим дозирования
Препарат назначают внутрь по 1 капс. 2-3 раза/сут перед едой.
При подготовке к исследованиям органов брюшной полости препарат назначают по 1 капс. 2-3 раза/сут накануне исследования и 1 капс. утром в день исследования.
Побочное действие
Аллергические реакции: редко — крапивница (исчезает при прекращении лечения), отек гортани, шок.
Со стороны пищеварительной системы: редко — нарушения функции печени (исчезают при прекращении лечения).
Противопоказания к применению
- детский возраст до 14 лет;
- индивидуальная непереносимость алверина цитрата и других компонентов препарата.
Применение при беременности и кормлении грудью
Не рекомендуется применение препарата при беременности и в период грудного вскармливания.
Применение у детей
Противопоказано детям до 14 лет.
Передозировка
Лечение: при необходимости — проведение симптоматической терапии под контролем врача.

Anticholinergic toxicity is caused by the strong binding of the drug to cholinergic receptors. For anticholinergic overdose with severe life-threatening symptoms, physostigmine 1-2 mg (0.5 mg or 0.02 mg/kg for children) S.C. or I.V., slowly may be given to reverse these effects.
