IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Check voltage to be sure that the voltage indicated on the name plate of Arzum
OKKA Minio Pro Technical Specifications corresponds with your voltage. Our
company shall not be liable for any malfunction that may occur in the event of
any discrepancy, therefore any malfunction resulting from discrepancy is out
of warranty.
Arzum OKKA Minio Pro should only be operated by plugging into a grounded
electrical socket connected in accordance with the regulations. Do not use
extension cords that supply improper current in order to prevent damage to
your machine.
Any repair for this electrical device or its power-supply should be conducted
by authorized customer services personnel to avoid danger.
Please contact Arzum Customer Services if it needs to be repaired. Our company
shall not be liable for any malfunction that may occur due to misuse,
therefore any malfunction resulting from misuse is out of warranty.
To protect against electric shock, DO NOT clean and immerse machine and power
cord in water. The machine is 16 ARZUM OKKA MINIO PROelectrically operated,
avoid touching the plug with wet hands to protect against electric shock.
This appliance should be used by people who are informed, supervised and
instructed to use this appliance in a safe manner and understood the risks.
This product shouldn’t be used by persons with physical (visual, aural) or
mental disabilities, children and persons with inadequate experience and
knowledge without the supervision of someone responsible for their safety. Do
not let children to play with the appliance and cord, close adult supervision
is required when the appliance is used or cleaned by children.
Attention: Keep children away from all packing materials, these materials
have potential danger that can cause death as a result of choke.

This machine is intended to be used in such places like houses and following
other places:

• In shops, offices and kitchens for staff in other working places,
• Farmhouses,
• In motels, hotels and other residential type locations,
• In sleeping places and breakfast halls,

Do not use outdoors, always avoid to keep the machine at zero or below zero
temperatures.

Use Arzum OKKA Minio Pro ALWAYS on a hard, flat level surface. Do not place
the appliance on the edge of table or countertop, the appliance can fall down.
Remember your appliance could be filled with hot coffee.

Do not use Arzum OKKA Minio Pro on or near hot surfaces, heat resources, near
a flame or fiery steam. (Ex: top of hot oven, heater, stove etc.) Do not let
cord hang over edge of table or countertop or to contact other devices.

Do not leave Arzum OKKA Minio Pro unaccompanied and unattended during
operation.
When using your coffeemaker for the first time, simply put water into coffee
pot and operate your appliance then discard the waste water.

Do not start brewing coffee process without putting water into coffee pot.
There is water-secure security implementation on your appliance. In case
operating without water, the appliance will shut off after a while and will
not be rerun until it cools down. Do not put any material into coffee pot
except water, coffee and sugar. Coffee pot should only be used with this
appliance, do not use with any heater. (Ex: on oven, microwave oven etc.)
Serve your brewed coffee with cup, do not drink from the coffee pot. To
handle/carry the coffee pot always use a carrying handle. Please, unplug from
outlet your appliance when your appliance not in use, before cleaning and
allow coffee pot to cool. Please find detailed information about cleaning the
appliance on Cleaning and Maintenance section. Always unplug Arzum OKKA Minio
Pro when; the coffeemaker is not in use for a long time and/or a malfunction
occurs and/ or poses a danger. While pulling the plug NEVER pull at grid
cable; always pull the plug itself. Make sure that you unplug from outlet when
cleaning and maintenance application. Use your machine with its own power base
unit only. The surface of the coffee pot will be hot when running. Therefore,
do not touch the surface of the coffee pot except for its handle.

Values labeled on the appliance or declared by printed documents are obtained
under laboratory conditions according to relevant standards. These values may
change depending on the ambient conditions where product is used.

USE OF MACHINE

Wipe off the main body of the appliance before first use. Coffee pot can be
rinsed under a tap water. After putting water into the coffee pot at MAX
level, operate the machine and discard the waste water and allow the appliance
to cool.

Your Arzum OKKA Minio Pro Turkish Coffee Machine heats during use, therefore
do not touch hot surfaces.

You can only make coffee with your coffeemaker. Do not use any liquids or
solution in order to boil or heat.

You can make coffee for 1-4 people with your Arzum OKKA Minio Pro Turkish
Coffee Machine.
When you plug in your machine, status light will turn white with a beeping
sound.

Put enough water into coffee pot by number of people. Use Arzum OKKA Minio Pro
measuring spoon to put exact required quantity of Turkish coffee. Add required
quantity of sugar and toss to prevent ball formation. Make sure the mixture
does not exceed the max level in the coffee pot.

Once you place your appliance on energy transmission base and press the start
button, status light will turn into red and start the brewing process. When
brewing process ends, your appliance will give a warning beep and status light
will turn into white again.

Never displace the coffee pot during brewing process. In case that you
displace the coffee pot while still brewing for any reason and is not placed
in 6 minutes, the coffeemaker will stop brewing and the red status light will
turn into white.

You can easily take the coffee pot to serve when brewing process is done.
Always clean the coffee pot after each use. You can wash the coffee pot easily
under a tap water. Do NOT wash coffee pot in dishwasher. Rinse coffee pot
after washing.

SUGGESTIONS FOR BREWING STRONG TURKISH COFFEE

Arzum OKKA Minio Pro, is a practical appliance designed to prepare Turkish
coffee in an ideal consistency by simmering.
In the below table you can find suggested ideal measures for preparing
delicious Turkish Coffee.

• Displayed amount is coffee for one person.
• 1 scale is the suggested amount of coffee. Depending on a strong or soft coffee you may use more or less coffee to your taste.
• Use fresh coffee for a delicious and foamy Turkish coffee.

Brewing:

1. Insert the plug. Your appliance will turn on automatically and status light will turn into white.
2.  According to the above suggested scales, firstly add coffee then sugar and then water to the cooking coffee pot. Slightly mix with a spoon (Figure-1)

Note: For a delicious coffee, make sure the interior of coffee pot is
clean.

1. Your appliance can make coffee up to 4 persons at a time. As your cup sizes may vary, pay attention not to exceed water-coffee-sugar mixture beyond the MAX level line in the coffee pot. Otherwise coffee may not brew well and/or boil over the coffee pot. (Figure-2)
2. Place the coffee pot to the appliance. (Figure-3)

Note: If you do not place the cooking coffee pot to its spot correctly
your appliance will not start brewing.

1. Press the start button located on the front panel. (Figure-4)

2. Appliance will give a warning sound (beep) to start and the status light around start button will turn into red. (Figure-5)

Note: Duration of brewing may vary depending on ambient temperature,
water temperature and mains voltage. On subsequent brewing process, the
duration may shorten as the appliance will be hotter.

1. After brewing process has finished, your appliance will give warning beep and the red status light turns into white and goes into sleep mode. You may completely turn off your appliance by plugging out.

2. After cooking you can serve your coffee by pouring into the cup.
   Note: In order to prevent the residue of foam and coffee grounds in the
   coffee pot, shake the coffee pot slightly and then pour. (Figure-7)

3. If you wish to cancel the brewing process for any reason, just press the start button.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for coffee pot to cool down.

Wash the coffee pot under a tap water by removing from the appliance, and dry
out the bottom, exterior and sides with a dry fabric.

Dry out the main body as well as the exterior side of coffee pot where the
energy transmission base is located only with dry fabric, NEVER plunge it into
water or wash in the dishwasher.

Do not clean any of the appliance accessories with harsh and chemical cleaners
(bleach, hydrochloric acid, etc.) except the cleaners used for this type of
devices. Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal objects, hard sponges, wire
brushes or harsh cleaners to clean the appliance.

Wipe the cooking sensor with a wet fabric after each use. (Figure-8)

Removing Calcification
Lime inside the water used in time may pile up inside the coffee pot and thus
may reduce the performance of your appliance.
You can clean your appliance’s coffee pot with a decalcifying product specific
to electrical kitchen appliances or you may try environmental friendly
solutions such as white vinegar.
In order to clean your appliance’s coffee pot with white vinegar; pour enough
white vinegar to cover the base of your appliance’s dec.

HANDLING AND SHIPMENT

During handling and shipment, your appliance must be kept in original package
in order to prevent damages to its parts.
Keep at normal position during shipment.
Do not drop the product when transporting and protect from impacts.
After delivery of the product, failures and damages that may occur while
transporting are not covered by warranty.
